  Ardhanareeswarar Meaning : Half Male and Half Female Shiva the male form and Shakti the female form illustrates that both are inseparable. Shiva would generally have a Jatamukha (matted hair). Shiva on the right and Shakti (Parvathi) on the Left. They are also known as Purusha and Prakriti in Tamil they are also called as Ammaiappan (Mother & Father) They represent a constructive and generative power and  symbolizes male and female principles cannot be separated

 Lingodbhavar Meaning : Emergence of Lord Shiva Shiva Emerges from pillar of Light with Lord Brahma in the form of Male Goose in the left Top and Lord Vishnu as a Boar on the bottom of the figure In a Shaiva legend, the deities Vishnu and Brahma once engaged in a debate regarding their superiority. To resolve the debate, Shiva appeared as a massive pillar of light, and challenged them to find his source. Brahma took the form of a gander, and flew to the sky to see the top of the flame, while Vishnu became the boar Varaha, and sought its base. This scene is called the Lingodbhava and is represented in the western wall at the sanctum of many Shiva temples
